Categories, haul

Six categories, judged by how they consolidate

On a haul, the question about a category is not only quality but how it packs. Jackets and hoodies eat volume, sneakers are dense and heavy, accessories are the category most likely to be refused by a line. Below, each category is judged on both — what good looks like, the trap, what to inspect, and what to confirm before it joins the box.

Notes by category

Six categories, read for how they behave inside a consolidated box.

1Sneakers

Good for: The size tag and outsole are photographed, and the seller's ratings hold up.

Confirm: That shoes ship without their retail box if you want to save volume.

QC focus: Ask for the size tag and outsole before it joins the box.

Trap: Official brand imagery at a price nobody else matches.

2Hoodies

Good for: Weight is given in grams per square metre, with the fleece shot close.

Confirm: Packed volume — hoodies are where a haul quietly gets expensive.

QC focus: Check the fleece and ask for excess packaging to be removed.

Trap: Heavy-looking photography with no weight figure, plus bulky retail packaging.

3Jackets

Good for: Lining is photographed on its own and the padding weight is stated.

Confirm: Whether compressing or removing packaging is possible before weighing.

QC focus: Inspect the lining, then ask how densely it will be packed.

Trap: The worst category for volumetric weight, especially with retail packaging left on.

4Pants

Good for: A centimetre measurement chart is provided rather than a letter alone.

Confirm: Waist and inseam in centimetres before ordering.

QC focus: Measure something you own and compare; ignore the letter.

Trap: Letter-only sizing, which is the most common cause of a wasted item in a haul.

5T-shirts

Good for: Composition is stated and the collar and hem are shown close up.

Confirm: Composition and weight, since shirts are easy to overpay for.

QC focus: Ask for a collar close-up.

Trap: Cheap fabric at a low price — invisible in a single distant photograph.

6Accessories

Good for: The material is named and every metal part is photographed close.

Confirm: That your line accepts the category before it goes into a consolidated parcel.

QC focus: Zoom on stamps and clasps.

Trap: The category most often refused by a line, which holds up the entire box.
